Bellingham Threshold Singers

Bellingham Threshold Singers is a group of women volunteers whose purpose is to relieve distress, pain or anxiety with comforting song. These songs are offered to individuals who are at life’s threshold, often seriously ill or dying.

We are known for our gentle, compassionate voices and a unique nondenominational collection of songs. We sing at the bedside of those in care facilities or in their own homes with a caregiver present. We sing songs of peace and love, courage and letting go, healing and joy to let people know they are not alone on their journey. Our unique music can be enjoyed by people of all faith traditions and those of no faith

If you are a family member or caregiver living in Whatcom County, Washington and have a loved one who is critically ill, struggling to live, or nearing the end of life, we encourage you to call and arrange a visit.

Wendy Bloom’s story, our Sister in Song

Families we have served write to us about their experience:

“I never would have guessed that a few songs could help so much. After you left, Mom started playing music in the house every day. Thank you so much.”
“I personally think that what you all do is no less than amazing and unbelievably meaningful. It is organizations like yours that help prove what an amazing community we live in.”
“Your voices were those of the angels my father had by his side as he left this life and went to the next. You helped him experience complete peace in his last moments.”
“You all gave so much to his last months. I could see in his face how he was receiving your songs.”
“Thank you for the beautiful and calming songs you sang to our mom. She passed away shortly after you stopped by, and we feel that the peace that filled her home afterwards just helped her cross over better. Thank you again for your beautiful voices.”
“Your gift of song touches the soul, bringing hope and joy.”
